Plant species in which individual
specimens are exclusively male or exclusively female are dioecious species. Dioecy
is a characteristics of a species in which the species have the male and female
individual organisms. Dioecy occurs in a wide variety of plants. Examples of
dioecious plant species include willows, cannabis and African teak.
