The peritoneum wraps around the stomach, small intestine, and parts of the large intestine. The peritoneum is the serous membrane which envelops the abdominal cavity and covers most of the intra-abdominal organs and supports them. It can be divided omenta mesenteries and ligaments which are peritoneal folds that connect organs to each other or to the abdominal wall.
