How many times larger is the surface area of a cube if the side length is tripled?

we know that
[volume of a cube]=b³
where b is the side length of the cube

if the side length is tripled
then 
b=3*b
volume of the larger cube=(3*b)
³------> 27*b³

the answer is
27
