Please use " ^ " to denote exponentiation:  x^2 + 9x + 20.

20 has several pairs of factors.  One such pair is 4 and 5.  Note that 4+5 add up to 9, so this is the correct pair.  The factors of x^2 + 9x + 20 are (x+4) & (x+5).
