The direct result from the American pullout from the Vietnam war was that the communist North Vietnam shortly then invaded South Vietnam unifying the nation. Which also resulted in a mass exodus of Catholics and anti-communist from the country in a migration crisis known as the boat people. In which hundreds of thousands of innocent people were brutally murdered by the invading North Vietnamese.
