you have to isolate the Y. To do that you subtract the 7x from both sides. that makes the equation y= 7x+1 
and you can graph that and get the y intercept or logically from the equation ts 1

The y-intercept is “1”. Subtract “7x” from both sides of the equation to turn it into slope intercept form, which is “y = -7x +1”. The b value, “1” is your y-intercept.
