The answer is make a prediction that would (likely) occur if the hypothesis were true see if it agrees with what you preferred to be true. Hypothesis is occasionally referred to as an educated guess based on expectations of an experimental research. Hypothesis can be proved (adopted) or disproved (rejected) by the result data after the research.
