1. created new countries - Poland and Yugoslavia, and ratified the new Czechoslovakia that had been created by the Czechs;
2. Gave Alsace and Lorraine to France and Memel to Belgium
3. Led to conflict between Poland and Czech. over Teschen
4. Encouraged Hitler to covet the Sudeten area of Czech. and to agree with Stalin (by the Nazi Soviet Pact of 1939) to carve up Poland
