First, divide 14 by 2. This equals 7.

-8 - 7 + 5

Then, according to the order of operations which says to subtract and add from left to right, subtract 7 from -8. -8-7= -15

-15 + 5

Now add 15 to -15. It equals -10.

The answer is -10.
