So remember the rule with multiplying exponents of the same base: [tex]x^m*x^n=x^{m+n}[/tex]

In this case:

[tex]9^2*9^6=9^{2+6}=9^8[/tex]

The equivalent of 9^2 × 9^6 is 9^8.
