The only integer that is less than -2 and greater than -3.5 is -3.

If you look at these on a number line, we need to look for numbers that come to the right of -3.5. The first one that we would come across is -3. This is also smaller than -2.

It's also important to note that -2 doesn't work because it says less than and not less than or equal to.

-3, it is a whole number (no fraction or decimals), so it is an integer. It is less than -2 but greater then -3.5.
