The right answer is the Colonial period.

During the Colonial period, Georgia was supporting the English economy and most important policy of mercantilism. Soon was founded The Georgia Trustees board which decided that it is more profitable to grow indigo, plant grapes that would be used in making wine, and boos the silk production as a sign of wealth. Even the Queen of England during one of the ceremonies wore a dress made from Georgian silk.
