Take the digits that are repeating
[tex]4.9595959595...[/tex]
In this case 95 is repeating with a four in the front. You put the number at the top of a fraction and a string of 9s of the same length at the bottom. Then add it to the number before the decimal place.
[tex]4 + \frac{95}{99} = \frac{491}{99} [/tex]
And that's really all there is to it
