What is the x-intercept of the line with the equation 1/2x + y= -15 ? Please help

First you would try to get the y variable by itself which you can do by subtracing 1/2x on both side. The equation would be y=-1/2x-15. You would then plug this into your graphing calculator and get the answer. If you do not have one, the x-intercept would be (0,-15) and the y-intercept would be (-30,0)
