Hi there!

A line that is parallel to another line will have the same slope.  In point slope form(y=mx+b), the slope is m.  Therefore any line with slope 3 is parallel to y=3x+7.

One equation of a straight line in general form  is y = mx + c  where m is the slope of the line.

So,  comparing equations, we see that the slope of y = 3x + 7 is 3.

So the slope of a line parallel to y = 3x + 7 = 3.
