Because the absolute value makes anything positive so -11 to 11 and -7 to 7 which would mean that 11 >7 and -11<-7

when looking at the -7 and -11 it's like looking at a timeline you see the numbers from left to right so you would look at the -11 first and then the -7. whenever a number has the two lines it's the absolute value so you would ignore the negative signs and it would just be the number.
