Note that the slope-intercept form is: y = mx + b, in which:

m = slope; b = y-intercept.

Isolate the y. Note the equal sign, what you do to one side, you do to the other.

y + 1 (-1) = 4/3x (-1)

y = (4/3)x - 1

The slope is 4/3

The y-intercept is -1
