jose worked j hours

wiliam worked w hours

jose worked 2.5 hours more than wiliam means j=2.5+w

togeter (sum) they worked 22hrs, so j+w=22

if we subsitute 2.5+w for j in the 2n equation we get

(2.5+w)+w=22, which matches equation B except they used h for william?

if we solved, we get w=9.75hrs so j=12.25hrs
