d= square root of [(x-x)^2+(y-y)^2]

Step-by-step explanation:

d= sq. root of [(10-(-6))^2+(-1-3)^2]

= sq. root of [16^2 + (-4)^2]

= sq root of (256+16)

= sq root of 272 or 4.7
