It help's us to remember our past and can keep people or a society from repeating something the was bad or for instance how our country was founded by the founding fathers under God.
It teaches us about things that we need to know in life, basically to become really smart and get a good job, and know common sense in a good way. It teaches you right from wrong, bad for good. I love history! Hope this helps;)
