2. What made the Carolinas different from other colonies?

They were actually once just one whole colony. The whole colony was called just Carolina, but then they were split into North and south Carolina because of multiple reasons, including border disputes, Native Indian wars, and piracy from the all famous Black beard and his sidekick, Bonnet.
