What is the equation of the line that is parallel to the line X = -2 and passes through the point (-5, 4)

For lines to be parallel, their slopes have to be the SAME.


x = -2      This is a vertical line   (For the points on this line, x will always be -2, and y can be any number)

Since this is a vertical line, the parallel line has to also be vertical.


x = -5    (for the points on this line, x will always be -5, and y can be any #)
