When it was finished, Baltimore and Ohio Railroad ran from Cumberland, Maryland to Parkersburg, West Virginia and was also extended to the Ohio River in Wheeling. The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad is one of the oldest railroads in the United States and the first ever common railroad.
