∫ f(x) dx = x⁵/5 + 3x⁴/4 - 5x³/3

[1⁵/5 + 3⁴/4 - 5³/3] - [ -1⁵/5 -3⁴/4 +5³/3]

plug that into your calculator and that's your rate of change
