Suppose the length of two segments are equal.That is , a=b.

Now, Multiplying , by "p" on both sides

Then,→ a × p= b × p

Now, if ,p=q.then replacing p by q on the left of the above equation

→a × p= b × q

So, the given equation :

⇒ (PA)×(PC)=(PB)×(PD) is true only, when

→  PA=PB, as PC=PD

We can't conclude from the given information,that

⇒  (PA)×(PC)=(PB)×(PD)
