limf(x) = lim(x²/x) = limx = - -∞   and limf(x) =+ ∞

x → - -∞                                               x → +∞

lim/f(x)/ = ∞       .......  x = 1 is the line asymptote

limf(x)/x = 1

 x → + -∞

lim (f(x) -x ) = -1 .....so y =x -1  is the second line asymptote

x → + -∞

x → 1
