slope is also m

m= Y2-Y1 / X2-X1

X1= -2

X2= 0

Y1= 0

Y2= 4

4-0/0-(-2)

4/2

divide by 2

4/2= 2

2/2= 1

2*1= 2

For this case we have that by definition, the formula to find the slope of a line is given by:

[tex]m = \frac {y_ {2} -y_ {1}} {x_ {2} -x_ {1}}[/tex]

According to the data we have the following points:

[tex](x_ {1}, y_ {1}): (- 2,0)\\(x_ {2}, y_ {2}) :( 0.4)[/tex]

Substituting we have:

[tex]m = \frac {4-0} {0 - (- 2)} = \frac {4} {0 + 2} = \frac {4} {2} = 2[/tex]
