one way is
solve for x
add y to both sides
x=y-1

sub negative values for y and get negative values for x
if y=-1, x=-2
if y=-3, x=-4
and so on

some points
(-2,-1)
(-3,-2)
(-4,-3)
(-5,-4)
(-6,-5)
etc
