Good morning ☕️

______

Answer:

She is 20 years old

____________________

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the age of the daughter.

Let y be the age of the mother.

then , we have to solve the system:

y=2x (1)

y+20=1.5(x+20) (2)

If we substitute y by 2x in the second equation we get :

(2) 2x+20=1.5(x+20) ⇔ 2x+20=1.5x+30 ⇔ 2x-1.5x=30-20

⇔ 0.5x=10 ⇔ x=20.

By the way the mother’s s age = 40 years.
