♫ :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: // Hello There ! //  :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ♫

➷  To work this out, you need to substitute the x and y values into the equation:

20 = -6(-5) - (-3)

Solve the right side of the equation and see if it equals the y value

-6(-5) - (-3) = 33

As you can see, this does not equal 20

Thus, (-5, 20) is not a solution for the equation.
