Federalism in the United States is represented by its distribution of power amongst the levels of government. The government is separated into Federal(Wash. DC), the states(there are 50), and local(towns). The federal level has the most power, however its purpose is to make laws that effect the entire country. And then the State power is in the middle, it makes laws to benefit the people of its state, and same in the local, just on a smaller scale.
