b(b+2)+3(b+2)
Distribute the variable and number into the parentheses
b^2 + 2b + 3b + 6
b^2 + 5b + 6
In order to factor this polynomial, we have to find factors of 6 that would equal 5:
6 + 1 = 7
Hmm, looks like that doesn't work
3 + 2 = 5
Looks like this one works!
Now we factor:
b^2 + 5b + 6 = (b+3)(b+2)
Good luck!
