The perimeter of the rectangle  = (6 x + 8) meters.

The length of first side =  (x+ 5) meters

and, the length of the second side = (2x - 1) meters

Now, the PERIMETER OF THE RECTANGLE = 2 (LENGTH + WIDTH)

Here, perimeter =  2 ( (x+ 5) m  +  (2x - 1) m)

                            = 2 ( x + 5 + 2x -1) =  2( 3x +4)

                            = 6x + 8

Hence, the perimeter of the rectangle  = (6x + 8) meters.
