[tex]8 + y \geq-12[/tex]

Subtracting 8 from both sides of the inequality:

[tex]y\geq -12-8[/tex]

Equal signs are added and the same sign is placed.

[tex]y\geq-20[/tex]

Thus, the solution is given by all values of "y" greater than or equal to -20.
