PEMDAS (the correct order of operations) starts with ' P '.
That tells you to take care of anything that's inside parentheses
before you move out of the parentheses and do anything else.
(-2-4) is (-6), and the the whole problem is then simply -6 * 8 .
I'm pretty sure you can handle it from there.
