Patience is a kind of emotion.

Example:

If you're being patient, you are waiting calmly for example, you're at a doctor's appointment. If you're waiting patiently and calmly, you aren't complaining that your doctors taking too long.

If you are impatient, you get frustrated that your doctor isn't there and you've been waiting 10 minutes.

Hope this helped.
