what is the solution to -7=-(x-5)

-7= -(x-5)

Step 1: Distribute the secret -1 behind the parentheses so -1(x-5) is -1x+5

Step 2:-7= -1x+5 Subtract 5 from both sides --> -12=-1x

Step 3: Divide both sides by -1 so -12/-1 and -1x/-1

x=12
