[tex]

4(2x+9)=4(2x+6) \\

2x+9=2x+6 \\

9\neq6\implies x\in\emptyset

[/tex]

No solution for x since it always results with false equivalency.

Hope this helps.

4(2 x + 9) = 4(2 x + 6)

Use the distributive property on both sides:

8x + 36 = 8x +24

Since both sides of the equation have the same quantity of x variables ( 8X on both sides) there is no solution.
