Chlorophyll absorbs most of the light of blue high energy wavelength and covert it into chemical energy in the form of glucose that is utilized by all life on Earth. Chlorophyll doesn't absorbs all the light that falls on the leaf. Theirs only 1% absorption that takes place and it's enough to support all life on Earth.
