(6m-8)^2

since it’s in parenthesis you multiple it by itself (6m-8)(6m-8) now you have set it up to FOIL (first outer inner last)

First 6m • 6m = 36m^2
Outer 6m • -8 = -48m
Inner -8 • 6m = -48m
Last -8 • -8 = 64

combine like terms

so now put it in the format
Ax^2 + Bx + C

so your answer is 36m^2 - 96m + 64
