Steps to solve:

-4z + 1 = bz + c

~Subtract bz to both sides

−4z + 1 - bz = bz + c - bz

~Simplify

-bz - 4z + 1 = c

~Subtract 1 to both sides

-bz - 4z + 1 - 1 = c - 1

~Simplify

-bz - 4z = c - 1

~Factor out "z"

z(-b - 4) = c - 1

~Divide (-b - 4) to both sides

[tex]\frac{z(-b - 4)}{-b - 4} = \frac{c-1}{-b-4}[/tex]

~Simplify

Answer → [tex]\frac{-c+1}{b+4}[/tex]

Best of Luck!
