well the roaring 20s as a whole was a decade of political and social change, but in particular flapper changed the perception of woman in society from meek and "politely" dressed to more open advanced women. The 1920's was a decade where short shirts became acceptable for woman and makeup woman no longer wore the extravagant garments of the 19th century.
