Given:

PQRS is a rectangle.

PS = 5cm

PQ = 12cm

To Find:

The length of qr ,sr and the two diagonals pr and qs.

Solution:

Opposite sides of a rectangle are equal.

QR = PS = 5cm

SR = PQ = 12cm

By using Pythagoras Theorem, we get

PR = √PS^2 + SR^2

or, PR = √25 + 144

or, PR = √169

or, PR = 13cm

Diagonals of a rectangle are equal.

QS = PR = 13cm

Answer:

QR = 5 cm

SR = 12 cm

PR = 13 cm

QS = 13 cm
