In this question, you are given the car gas rate(35 miles/ gallon) and the distance travelled by the car(700miles). Then to find the gallon of gas needed would be:

distance= rate * amount of gas
700 miles = 35miles/gallon * amount of gas
amount of gas= 700 miles / (35miles/gallon)= 20 gallon
