if he grew 10 cm in 1 yr.....he would be 10 cm less then he is now.

1 m = 100 cm......so 1.6 m = (1.6 x 100) = 160 cm.

so he is 160 cm now......and 1 yr ago, he would be (160 - 10) = 150 cm....or 1.5 m.
