Well, to be honest I think that they might just figure out another way to do that experiment.

Explanation: My reasoning is, that if an experiment isn't possible due to complications like maybe it could be to dangours or it could have reaction that they don't know about. So if they aren't able to do an experiment then they might find a safer one to do or they might just skip it and research more about it and see how it would react to certan things.
