Hey :)

y= 6

Use the distributive property to multiply 3 by y−5

3y−15+2=5

Add −15 and 2 to get −13
3y−13=5

Add 13 to both sides.
3y=5+13

Add 5 and 13 to get 18
3y=18

Divide both sides by 3.
y= 18/3

Divide 18 by 3 to get 6
y=6

Hope this helps :)
