Crossing Over -A process occurring during meiosis wherein two chromosomes pair up and exchange segments of their genetic material.It results in new combinations of genes.
Independent Assortment  law states that allele pairs separate independently during the formation of gametes. Therefore, traits are transmitted to offspring independently of one another.
