This is a literal equation
first, divide 3 on both sides
[tex] \frac{A}{3} = \frac{3(B+C)}{3} [/tex]
Next, subtract C on both sides
[tex] \frac{A}{3} -C=B+C-C[/tex]
The answer is [tex]B= \frac{A}{3} -C[/tex]
