First you need to do square 1/4, which equals 1/16

1/16 - y = 1

Then you subtract 1/16 on both sides

-y = 1 - 1/16

Then subtract 1/16 from 1

-y = 15/16

Then divide by -1 to make y positive

answer —-> y = -15/16
